Timothy became Chairman of the TRG in January 2006 with the aim of extending the role of the TRG away from Westminster through new groups across the country, greater use of media and wider participation from the membership. He had previously been a member of the TRG board for four years.
In 2001, and again in 2005, he was a senior member of the campaign team behind Ken Clarke MP's bid for the Conservative Party leadership. He is active within his local constituency association, where he is Treasurer and a ward Chairman.
Tim is an entrepreneur and company director who runs his own specialist advisory business, working with technology-based companies arising from university research.
